Every spring, Art-A-Whirl, the largest open-studio event in the country, takes place in Northeast, Minneapolis. At more than 60 locations throughout the neighborhood over 800 artists from every medium show off their work to the public. From the Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association, "The artists’ open studio tours may include demonstrations, mini-workshops, installations, and special exhibitions. Studio tours offer a great opportunity to ask questions, discuss techniques, experience art first-hand, and purchase unique artwork directly from the artists who make our community so vibrant!"
