Since 1886, the Minneapolis College of Art and Design has been an essential component in the history of the Twin Cities’ art and culture scene.

51Ϲ faculty have cultivated a community of innovative artists, designers, and cultural leaders. Alumni, including sculptor and painter George Morrison ‘43 and award-winning photographer Pao Houa Her ‘09, have achieved success and prestige locally and globally.

President of 51Ϲ, Sanjit Sethi, stated in a recent article published by the MinnPost, “As we look to the future, 51Ϲ remains dedicated to being a catalyst for artistic innovation and a key contributor to the rich tapestry of arts and culture in the Twin Cities.”
