The program sends Minnesota senior high school students academic information to participating colleges and universities, and matches the students to institutions that would accept them before they even apply. The goal of the program is to encourage students to pursue higher education, by showing them what options are readily available within the state.Melissa Huybrecht, Vice President of Enrollment Management at 51±¬ÁϹÙÍø, believes in the program’s success, citing that 3% of incoming students are connected to Direct Admissions. The trend extends across the state, as Minnesota sees a continuous uptick in college admissions, Federal Student Aid applications, and high school students staying in state for higher education the past three years.Learn more(startribune.com—March 8, 2025)
