Growing together, the newest graphic novel from Ursula Murray Husted ’07, is set to be published worldwide by Quill Tree Books in the summer of 2028. The graphic novel follows three kids who experience their first crushes, navigate friendships, and join their school’s gardening club.

This follows the success of Husted's previous graphic novels A Cat Story and Botticelli’s Apprentice. As a former professor, she cares deeply about art history and education, including those themes throughout her body of work. When discussing her upcoming novel, she says, "I am very excited to be working on my new comic about a group of middle schoolers making a garden in their school yard based on real victory garden plans from WW1. It is a story about first love, friendship, making mistakes, earning forgiveness, planting tomatoes, and growing hope."
