How/why did you choose your major?

I have had a love for typography and color since long before I had words to describe it. The graphic design major was a natural fit for me to explore and grow!

Describe the work you submitted for merits.

The work that I submitted for merits was quite diverse, spanning from infographics with illustration to frame-by-frame animation to album cover design. I enjoy not just graphic design, but many different adjacent practices and subsets within the design world.

Why did you decide to come to 51±¬ÁϹÙÍø?

I decided to come to 51±¬ÁϹÙÍø because I wanted the opportunity to study graphic design in relation to fields such as fine arts and illustration. An art and design college felt less limiting to me, and I found that the campus felt far more inspiring and colorful than other campuses I visited.

What are your plans for your senior year? And beyond?

During senior year, I hope to continue to gain a wide view of the design world and learn as much as I can. Beyond graduation, I would love to work with a design studio or something similar. I'm excited to see where the tides will take me!

Favorite thing about college life (so far)?

My favorite part of college life so far is definitely the friends and community that I've found at 51±¬ÁϹÙÍø. I feel so honored to be around such talented and creative people that are constantly inspiring me to be my best.

Anything you're obsessed with at the moment?

One of my current obsessions is Severance on Apple TV. I'm a big fan of sci-fi shows and movies, and Severance ticks all my boxes, from humor to mystery to weird cult storylines!
