Describe the work you submitted for merits.

I submitted a number of illustrations ranging from children’s book style illustration to editorial style illustration.

Why did you decide to come to 51���Ϲ���?

I originally decided to come to 51���Ϲ��� to study animation but ended up finding illustration to line up more with my craft. Now I’m minoring in animation instead!

What are your plans for your senior year? And beyond?

I am really excited to work on my senior project next year: a book of art development for an animated film. After I graduate, I would like to work in art development at an animation studio or do children’s book writing/illustration.

Favorite thing about college life (so far)?

I really enjoy being surrounded by other creatives. I draw a lot of inspiration from the people around me, which is so lovely.

What inspires you?

I’m really inspired by the beautiful aspects of childhood. I remember how full of wonder the world was when I was a kid. I definitely miss it, which is why my art is inspired by that.

Do you have a favorite piece you've made? Describe it!

That’s such a hard question because there are a few! I think as of recently, I am very proud of a “look-and-find” illustration that I made over spring break. It was a tedious piece, but the final result was just astounding.

Anything you're obsessed with at the moment?

I am absolutely obsessed with the animated show The Legend of Vox Machina. The style is lovely and I already love the crew of Critical Role, so it wasn’t hard to fall in love with.

What fictional world would you like to be a part of?

I would probably choose either the world of Pokémon or Marvel. I either want to be a Pokémon trainer or a superhero that’s really the gist of that. ;)
