What advice do you have for current 51±¬ÁϹÙÍø students?

Focus on the work and not the grade. Gear your portfolio for the jobs that you want to apply for when you graduate.

Best thing you ever got/saw on the free shelf?

A duffle bag that I still store a bunch of my camping gear in.

Describe your internships.

I did a few internships. They really got my coding skills up to par as well as my UI design skills.

Who was your favorite teacher and why?

. He had brilliant things to say during critiques. He was great at helping students stimulate ideas.

Your biggest takeaway from 51±¬ÁϹÙÍø?

Iteration. Ideas take time to evolve. Keep at it until you have a presentable solution.

Describe what you do for work and how you feel about it.

I'm a with an focus. Basically, I'm a creative gun for hire. I have always loved to draw and create art. It is incredible that I get to incorporate some of that into a way of making a livelihood.

How did you get your job?

Currently, I'm freelancing for a VR/AR company and am starting my own small agency. I mostly find work through word of mouth.

What inspires your work?

Learning new techniques by taking courses; Looking at artists on Behance and Instagram.

How do you feel about the ?

It's home. I take full advantage of the outdoors here.

Current obsession?

Digital illustration. I host a digital illustration meetup at an agency in Minneapolis.
