The Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program is a provision of the Post-9/11 Veteran’s Educational Assistance Act of 2008, also known as Post-9/11 GI Bill®. 51±¬ÁϹÙÍø is a proud participant in the Yellow Ribbon Program. Do I qualify for the Yellow Ribbon Program?

In order to receive Yellow Ribbon benefits, you must:

• Be accepted for admission to a degree-granting program at 51±¬ÁϹÙÍø, or be a current student in satisfactory academic standing in a degree-granting program.
• Be eligible for the full amount (100%) of Chapter 33 Post-9/11 GI Bill® benefits.

What costs does the Yellow Ribbon Program cover?

If you qualify for this program, total funding through Chapter 33 and Yellow Ribbon usually covers the full cost of your tuition and fees, although it is not guaranteed to do so.

The VA provides a maximum tuition and fee (only fees required for all students) benefit of $27,120.05 for the 2023/24 academic year. Under Yellow Ribbon, 51±¬ÁϹÙÍø voluntarily covers up to 50% of the remaining tuition and fee costs, up to $15,000 for 2023/24. The VA will match the contribution made by 51±¬ÁϹÙÍø. Payments made by the VA through Chapter 33 and Yellow Ribbon are sent directly to 51±¬ÁϹÙÍø and are applied to your student tuition account. Yellow Ribbon funding provided by 51±¬ÁϹÙÍø will replace some or all the institutional grants and/or scholarships previously awarded.

How do I participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program?

If you qualify for this program, you must:

1. Submit a copy of your Certification of Eligibility to 51±¬ÁϹÙÍø's Financial Aid Office
2. Submit the Yellow Ribbon Program Application (insert link) to 51±¬ÁϹÙÍø's Financial Aid Office

Participation in the Yellow Ribbon Program by 51±¬ÁϹÙÍø is evaluated on an annual basis, and the college has the authority to discontinue participation in future years. The college may also revise the number of students it allows into the program each year. Currently there is no limit. Students who withdraw from 51±¬ÁϹÙÍø are not guaranteed to receive the benefit in future years.
