Current Students Students are encouraged to take advantage of the MFA program’s flexible structure by tailoring their studio focus to reach individual goals. Students can pursue a single discipline, such as illustration, or an interdisciplinary practice that bridges multiple media and areas of inquiry. As a wholly interdisciplinary program, students from many different areas take courses together, and there may only be 1 or 2 people working in an area of study at any given time, in addition to many students working across intermedia practices. We expect students to do a great deal of independent research, and to invest in providing feedback to their peers working in a variety of visual practices.
